CIF HS Games: Results & Details From
Saturday, 1/5/02--(Jan. 6, 2002)

The heart of high school basketball season is now beginning as the tournaments wind down, and league play starts.  For some of the larger leagues (7 or more teams per league), competition among the league teams began last month; for most everyone else, it starts this week.  Many of the LA City Section teams were off, or playing a reduced schedule until school reopens after the winter break, and the same is true this week for many of the Southern Section teams.  Still, there was plenty of action going on Saturday.  Here's what we know, gathered from reports sent to us from team representatives, coaches, players and parents, as well as what we've been able to gather from local newspapers and websites. If you know of a game that we missed, a score that is unreported, or some details that we're missing, send it in via e-mail.
