Second Annual "War On The Floor"

2nd Annual War on the Floor Extravaganza

College of the Canyons

Who:

14 teams, 7 games

There will be two "extravaganza" events taking place this weekend. Of course, there's the big-time and highly publicized Nike Extravaganza at the Long Beach Pyramid this weekend which will feature some of the top teams in the country, but there's also another one-day event featuring several top area teams, and this is it. Here's the lineup, according to Coach Bort Escoto of Sylmar (things may have changed, but this is the last schedule we received):

11:00 a.m.	Rolling Hills Prep v. Locke	Boys
12:30 p.m.	Cleveland v. Washington Prep	Boys
2:00 p.m.	Harvard Westlake v. Bakersfield Centennial	Girls
3:30 p.m.	Garces v. Immanuel	Boys
5:15 p.m	Sylmar v. Narbonne	Boys
6:45 p.m.	Sylmar v. Saugus	Girls
8:15 p.m.	Fairfax v. Modesto Christian	Boys

We don't have the time right now to do any previews of these games, but if you can't or don't want to make the trip to see No. 1 Oak Hill battle Mater Dei, or Long Beach Poly taking on Vashon from St. Louis, this is a very good alternative, particularly for girls' hoops fans.
