CIF-SS V-AA & VA Friday:   Apple Valley
& Stoneridge Win; More Tonight--(Feb. 23, 2002)

Division V-AA and V-A might have seemed odd, but there's an explanation about why some of the games in these divisions will be played today, Saturday, rather than last night:  V-AA was in the quarterfinal round, but only one game was played, because the other three games all feature teams which are not permitted to play from sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday for religious reasons.  Valley Torah can't play during the Jewish sabbath, and likewise, thue 7th Day Adventist schools like La Sierra and Orangewood, are not permitted to play on Friday night either.
