The bracket has been updated to reflect all second round games, and quarterfinal matchups. Home teams are the teams with the fewest home games played previously. If both teams have the same number of home or away games, the host is determined by flipping a coin. Details and scoring for the second round is shown below the bracket:

Division I-AA--Second Round--Games Played 2/19
Upper Half of the Bracket:
No. 1 Eisenhower 74, Highland 54-- Senior forward Sean Marshall scored 26 points to lead the top-seeded Eagles (25-2), in the win over Highland (15-11). Senior center Cory McJimson added 14 points and seven rebounds and Anthony Jones contributed 10 points for the Eagles. Highland's tallest player, David Kennedy got into foul trouble early, getting his fourth foul in the final 30 seconds of the first half, and he sat out almost the entire second half and fouled out with 2:45 to play. He finished with four points and three rebounds. Kris Theus had 17 points and Mike Stevenson added 12 for the host Bulldogs of Palmdale.
Lakewood 90, Canyon Springs 86--Lakewood (20-6) advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time in more than 10 years with the win over Canyon Springs (20-9) behind Tyrell McLaurin's game-high 35 points and 9 rebounds. McLaurin scored 21 of his points in the first half, and 13 in the second quarter. Lakewood senior forward John Wegner added 23 points and 8 rebounds, including grabbing a key rebound with only seconds on the clock and hitting two free throws for the final margin of victory. Chester Gabriel and Doug Peterson each had 9 points for Lakewood. Canyon Springs was led by junior standout Richard Cobbs who finished with 28 points, forward Tron Smith who had 23 points. and freshman point guard Andre McGhee who finished with 21.
Ayala 51, Upland 42--details were not available.
LB Millikan 65, No. 4 Oxnard 54--Long Beach Millikan (19-8) advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time in 11 years with the win over Oxnard (23-5). Ivan Barragan led Oxnard with 21 points, including a 3-pointer with 1:16 remaining to get Oxnard to within 4, at 58-54, but Millikan scored the final seven points for the win. Marcus Dove finished with 15 points for Millikan and Melvin Nicholson had 14 and Ryan Hynes had 11. Lee Abair had 16 points for Oxnard, and Henry Patterson added six points and 11 rebounds, while Jonathan Davis had eight assists to finish his high school career with 590. Millikan (65) -- Dove 7 0-0 15, Anderson 4 0-1 9, Nicholson 5 4-6 14, Freeman 4 2-2 10, Raitz 1 1-2 3, Lewis 1 0-0 2, Hynes 4 3-4 11. Oxnard (54) -- Thrower 2 1-1 5, Barragan 7 3-3 21, Patterson 3 0-0 6, Davis 2 2-2 6, Abair 7 2-2 16. Millikan 22 16 10 17--65 Oxnard 15 15 15 9--54 3-Point goals -- Millikan (Dove, Anderson). Lower Half of the Bracket
No. 3 AB Miller 83, Downey 73--Jacob Ramierez had 27 points and five rebounds, and Jeremiah Ward had 22 points, seven rebounds and seven assists to lead the Rebels (23-6) in their win. Teamates T.J. Smith and Victor Michel both added 11 points for A.B. Miller. Downey's Larry Cunningham led all scorers with 33 points.
Capistrano Valley 50, Esperanza 39--Matt Sweany had 18 points, Jake Franzen 11 and Pete Decasas had 10 points for host Capistrano Valley (23-6), which led, 25-17 at halftime. The Cougars play Miller in a quarterfinal game on Friday. Burke Spencer had 12 points and Mark Lovein had 11 points for Esperanza (17-11).
Fontana 50, Etiwanda 43--The Steelers (11-11) were led by Ira Graham with a game-high 19 points in the win over Etiwanda (20-7). The game featured 19 lead changes. Fontana will play Long Beach Poly on Friday night.
No. 2 LB Poly 68, Peninsula 40-- Shawn Weinstein scored 17 points, but host Peninsula (19-10) was outscored by Long Beach Poly, 24-6, in the fourth quarter. Kevin Gardner added nine points and Andre Ciceran scored eight for Peninsula, which made just 1-of-12 from the free-throw line
All games with the exception of the final round will start at 7:30 p.m. unless another time is mutually agreed upon and clearance is received from the CIF-SS Office. Public coin flips will be held in the lobby of the CIF-SS Office at 9:00 a.m. the day following each playoff game [these coin flips will determine subsquent sites after the first round, i.e., which school will be the host]. Coin flips will be available after 9:30 a.m. and we'll try to keep everyone posted with them here.
