Keith Ellison (6'-2" Sr. PG), who we think of as a basketball player, is actually primarily known for his quarterbacking skills at Redondo Union in addition to being the starting point guard of the No. 2 ranked Sea Hawks, gave a verbal commitment commitment last week to accept a football scholarship at San Diego State according to an article written by Bob Holtzman in the Torrance Daily Breeze, which noted that Ellison also has plans to try to become a walk-on for Coach Steve Fisher on the basketball team.
The Daily Breeze also notes that Ellison was an "All-Area first-team selection finished his senior season as the Co-Offensive Player of the Year in the Bay League. He passed for 1,214 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 884 yards and 13 touchdowns.
