25th McDonald's AA Game: Burns,
Adams &
Collins Named To West Team--(Feb. 27, 2002)
The teams for the 25th Annual McDonald's All-American Game have been announced. Three players out of the six finalists from California have been named to the West Team (which will be coached by Gary McKnight and Dave Taylor from Mater Dei). They are D'Angelo Collins (6'-9" Sr. F) from Inglewood, Hassan Adams (6'-4" Sr. G/F) from LA Westchester, and Evan Burns (6'-7" Sr. F) from LA Fairfax.
The West Team has players from only four states: California has three, Illinois has three, Texas has four (including Brad Buckman...congratulations to Brad, way to go big guy), and two from Michigan.
The game is on April 4 and will be televised on ESPN. Don't miss it. And congratulations to the players from SoCal on the honor of being named to the 25th Annual McDonald's All American boys teams.
