1st McDonald's AA Girl's Game: 7

California Named To Team--(Feb. 27, 2002)
The teams for the 1st-ever McDonald's All-American Girl's Game have also been announced. And unlike the boys' game, the girls West squad is dominated by players from California: Seven of the twelve players are from California, and 6 of the 7 are from SoCal. Locals who were named to the team were:
Nikki Blue from Bakersfield Janice Bright from Lynwood Alexis Kendrick from St. Bernard Willnett Crockett from LA Narbonne Courtney LaVere from Buena Tye'sha Fluker from Muir |
NorCal also got a player named to the team, Brooke Smith from Marin Catholic.
The game is on April 4 and will be televised on ESPN. Don't miss it. And congratulations to the players from SoCal on the honor of being named to the 1st Annual McDonald's All American Girls teams.
