Las Vegas Update: Pumps' Easter Tourney &
FullCourtPress LV Shootout--(Mar. 22, 2002)

A couple of quick updates on the Pumps' Easter Tournament and the FullcourtPress Las Vegas Shootout.

Pump Dates: We must have had a brain fade, but we got the dates off by one day. The tournament will run from Friday, April 5 through Sunday April 7, 2002 (we inadvertently had them as the 4th through 6th, and that's just wrong).

Number of Teams: Jan Bryant tells us that now there will be 72 teams and the event will be at three locations for sure, Green Valley, Silverado and Durango, with the event headquarters at Green Valley in Henderson. Still no word on the actual format of the tournament yet, but it will definitely attract every division I coach on the face of the planet, since it's one of the few events which has been sanctioned by a high school association and thus D-I college coaches can and will attend.

Contact Info: Do not contact the Chatsworth office of Double Pump. If you are interested in the Pumps' Easter Tournament or need additional info, contact Jan Bryant at 530-256-2862. The Pumps' website is still "under construction" (actually it's "reconstruction") so you'll just have to rely on that ancient device, the telephone, for now.

FullCourtPress Las Vegas Desert Shootout Dates: We also got these dates wrong. The tournament will run concurrently with the Pump's Easter Tournament, at a single location, at Sierra Vista High School, from Friday, April 5 through Sunday April 7, 2002.

Number of Teams: Still set at 36 teams. No further updates from Dinos received on the identity of these teams, but we don't expect changes from those previously noted.
