14th Annual Riverside-San Bernardino County All-Star
Game Now Set For March 29--(Mar. 19, 2002)

According to a small blurb published by the Riverside Press-Enterprise from Sherry Mombourquette, the 14th Annual San Bernardino County vs. Riverside County Boys' and Girls' All-Star Basketball games will be played on March 29 at San Bernardino Cajon High. According to the event's organizer, San Bernardino Cajon boys coach Jerry Tivey, the games initially were planned for this weekend, but were pushed back a week to ensure more participation. Thus far about 20 players have committed. According to Jerry Tivey, Don Brady of Palm Desert will coach one of the boys' teams while the other boys' coach has not yet been selected. The girls' game will begin at 6 p.m., and the boys game will follow around 7:30 or 8 p.m. The event will also feature a three-point contest during halftime of both the boys' and girls' games and a slam dunk contest during the boys' half. Tickets are $5 at the door.
