KVBC Las Vegas Desert Shootout:
All-Tournament Team Selections--(Apr. 9, 2002)

We didn't get to stick around long enough in Las Vegas last weekend for the announcement of the All-Tournament Team selections, but Dinos Trigonis sent us the following information which we want to pass along:
Belmont Shore, led by tourney co-MVP's Wesley Washington and Harrison Schaen) knocked off Belmont Shore Black, 99-91 at Sierra Vista HS. Belmont Shore's road to the championship game included wins of the H-Squad Gold team in the quarterfinals, and Inland in the semifinals, while Belmont Shore Black defeated the Carls' Jr. Superstars in the quarterfinals and the Las Vegas Select team in the semifinals. In the finals, Washington scored 20 and Schaen had 17, while the bulk of Belmont Shore Black's scoring came from all-tourney selections Shaddean Aaron (26 points) and UCLA-bound Marcedes Lewis (24 points).
According to Dinos, there were more than 200 college coaches and media attending the event, including Clark Francis of the HoopScoop. Here are the All-Tournament selections:
