We received word from Keith Howard over the weekend that IEBP (Inland Empire Basketball Program), in conjunction with the Inland Empire Superstar Foundation, will host the 3rd Annual High School Inland All-Star Classic Saturday, May 18, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. at San Bernardino Valley College. The Classic will pick several outstanding college bound seniors in what figures to be their final high school appearance. In addition, the evening will feature a 3-point shooting contest and a slam-dunk contest. “This will be an outstanding opportunity to see some great Division I caliber athletes before they reach the next level. This game will be unique in that it isn’t County vs. County, but rather athletes from throughout the Inland Empire Region,” say event organizers, Keith Howard and Julius Patterson

*Marvin Lea, (Martin Luther King H.S.) 1st Team All-CIF, co-MVP Riverside County Player of the Year, All State Selection Player of the Year, McDonald All-American Honorable Mention, Riverside County Player of the Year, attending Pepperdine in the fall.

*Donovan Morris, (Cajon H.S.) 1st Team All CIF, All-State Selection, McDonald All-American Honorable Mention, San Bernardino County Player of the Year

*Jeremy Lopez, (Riverside Poly) 1st Team All-CIF, 1st Team All Riverside County, Attending Cal Baptist University in the fall

*Cory McJimson, (Eisenhower) 1st team All CIF, 1st Team All San Bernardino County,, 2A McDonald All-American Honorable Mention

*J.R. Reese, (Corona Centennial) 1st Team All CIF All State Selection, 1st Team All-Riverside County, McDonald All-American Honorable Mention

*Leon Rosborough, (Martin Luther King) 1st Team All CIF, co-MVP Riverside County Player of the Year, County, attending Vanguard University in the fall.

Here's the schedule:

Tickets for the event are $5.00 per adult, $3.00 for High School students with I.D. cards, $2.00 for children (ages 5-13). A portion of the proceeds from the game will be donated to the Inland Empire Super Star Foundation to benefit Disadvantaged High School Student Athletes.
