Some Final ABCD Stats--Top 3-Point
FG Leaders At ABCD Camp--(July 21, 2002)

Here are the names of the top 50 in three point shooting percentage leaders at the ABCD Camp held a week ago during the first NCAA "evaluation" period.    For this category, we've included only the average of 3-pointers made in the games played (each player should have played in 8 games), the average attempted, and the final 3-point field goal percentage.  Of course, this data may seem a bit meaningless, because although the computer folks who kept this data must have the total of all three-pointers taken by each player, we didn't get that data from them, so we can't really say for sure how many three pointers, in total each player took and made.  Of course, assuming each player played in all 8 games, it's not too hard to do the calculation yourself, if you really want to bother.  We should also note that there were two players in the raw data whose 3-point averages were somehow calculated wrong (Earl Risby and Casey Long, and the data was so obviously incorrect that we've deleted their figures, which showed them shooting 700% from three point range) 

SoCal 3-point shooting leaders among the top 50 (actually we've gone 52 because of ties between some players, and so we can get in the last player from SoCal who shot over 40%) were David Gale (46.1%), Bryce Taylor (45.8%), Mohamed Abukar (42.8%), and Ray Reed (40.9%). 

We are not aware of any comparable stats which were kept at the Nike Camp, so don't bother asking, because we don't have them.  These stats were compiled by a professional statistics service retained by adidas, so if you have a problem with them, contact adidas, not us.
