Fairfax Guard Kevin Bell
Commits To
Louisiana-Lafayette--(Oct. 22, 2002)
According to Dinos Trigonis, Fairfax senior point guard Kevin Bell (5'-10" Sr. PG) committed to Louisiana-Lafayette after visiting this past weekend with the Ragin Cajuns' head coach Jesse Evans, a former Arizona assistant who has been turning the program around in the 12,800 seat Cajundome. Bell reportedly also considered Providence, Long Beach State, Cal State Northridge, Fresno State and Wyoming, and will joine 6'-9" Adam James, who is currently at St. Thomas More as a 5th year prep who verballed last week. The Ragin Cajuns also signed some pretty solid players last year, including Rod Foster (6'-7" F) from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH, and Clark Francis at the HoopScoop also reminds us that Evans picked up a solid transfer in Orien Greene who transferred from Florida this past summer. Another familiar name at Louisiana-Lafayette to those of us here in SoCal is Chris Wiliams (6'-9" Sr. F) from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, who originally signed with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, but who left UMKC after former head coach Bob Sundvold was relieved of his duties there.
