Complete LA City Section Boys 2003-03
Season Schedules--(Nov. 8, 2002)

We've put together a compilation of schedules for all of the LA City Section Boys teams for the upcoming 2002-03 season.  Official interscholastic games in the City Section begin on November 25.  City Section teams compete in a series of "practice games" and then League competition.  Only the results in league games count towards the league title races, and only league title races determine the 8 automatic bids for the City Playoffs (Magnet League teams are not eligible for the City Section Championship bracket, and instead compete in the City Invitational bracket).  The balance of the teams seeded in the 16 team City Section Championship bracket are picked by a committee of coaches at the City Section Seeding meeting which occurs the Saturday following the conclusion of the regular season.   Both the City Section Champ and runner-up (second place) teams are eligible to compete in the State Championship Tournament, and will be entered in the Division I bracket.   The 16 teams that compete for the City Invitational Bracket are not eligible for further post-season competition beyond that tournament.

These schedules DO NOT include preseason tournaments.  City Section official schedules do not include preseason tournaments.  Most of the teams however will in fact compete and/or host preseason tournaments.  Hopefully we'll be able to compile an accurate listing for the City Section teams of such tournaments.  In the meantime, check the CIF-SS Tournaments listings to see if any City teams are entered in those tournaments.

We've organized the schedules by league and by school.  You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these schedules; if you don't have it, get it by clicking on this logogetacro.gif (1692 bytes).
