Ocean View Tournament Of Champions
Complete Schedule & Bracket--(Dec. 9, 2002)

The Ocean View Tournament of Champions (which wasn't always hosted at Ocean View, but has been for the past umpteen years....but that's a whole different story) is usually one of the best and most competitive tournaments in the region each year, and this year is no different, as it will attract the top teams again, including powerhouses like Westchester, Villa Park, and other top schools from a variety of divisions.  Missing this year is Mater Dei, but then with all of the traveling the Monarchs have been doing lately (they traveled in tandem this past week to the Lone Star Invitational in Texas with Ocean View;  Mater Dei won, Ocean View finished ninth), they just can't be everywhere.

In any event, we've had people asking for the bracket and the schedules for weeks, but we've just now gotten hold of one. Seems that some of the folks at Ocean View HS created an "updated" website which was supposed to have the bracket for the Tournament of Champions posted, but at least until late today, the site only had a blank digital image where the bracket should have been....seems someone forgot to actually upload the graphic file in which the bracket was stored, or just didn't link to it properly.......either way, the bracket just wasn't available. Well, thank goodness that's now been fixed, and likewise, thank goodness that we now have the complete bracket (see below).  Here's what it looks like for this year's tournament which started this afternoon, Monday, December 9.  The Championship, in case you don't notice it, will be this coming Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Ocean View.   In case you can't make out the schedule, first round games are Monday, December 9 and Tuesday, December 10, and we've separately listed them below in chronological order as well:
