In addition to the many high school links contained in the Boys' HS links for SoCal, Central Cal and NorCal, which contain information about the girls' high school programs, there are quite a few individual girls' sites as well. Here are a few of the sites we've managed to locate.  If you know of a site we've missed, let us know and we'll add it to the list.

SoCalHoops doesn't pretend to provide any in-depth coverage girls' high school hoops in SoCal (or anywhere else for that matter).    We provide a Women's Message Forum, and lots of links to club and high school programs. But when it comes to news about tournaments or top players, at least for now, we leave that aspect of covering the game to others. Perhaps the only site truly devoted to club and high school girls' coverage is  CaliforniaPreps.com, a former Rivals.com site which has just resurfaced at Alliance Sports, which focuses on girls hoops (and other sports) in Southern California.  If you are looking for something specific, news about a tournament, info about a player, or something else pertaining to high school girls' coverage, and can't find it at SoCalHoops, be sure to it out. . . and tell them we sent you. . . . .

Other sites containing useful info for SoCal girls' high school basketball in SoCal are the following:  SchoolSports.com, VarsityUSA.com and IHigh.com.  For newspaper coverage, try the following: Bakersfield Californian, Fresno Bee, the Lompoc Record, the Long Beach Press Telegram, the LA Daily News (mostly San Fernando Valley and Ventura), the Los Angeles Times (amazingly, provides coverage of just about everywhere except metro LA),  the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (Ontario, Pomona Valley, Glendora, etc), the Desert Sun Online (Palm Springs), the Pasadena Star-News, The Redlands Daily Facts, Riverside Press Enterprise, San Bernardino County Sun, San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Diego North County Times, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the Orange County Register,  Santa Barbara News-Press, Santa Clarita Signal, San Luis Obispo Telegram-Tribune; The Daily Breeze (South Bay, Torrance), Ventura County Star, and the Whittier Daily News.  If you know of a newspaper we've omitted, let us know. You might also try the AJR Newslink site for California newspaper links just in case we missed one though.

For NorCal info, you might try NorCalPreps.net, although they are fairly heavily weighted toward the boys like SoCalHoops. In the Sacramento area, try High School League Sports, and the Sacramento Bee and Modesto Bee, as well as the Contra Costa Times, and The Gate (San Francisco Chronicle) have some decent coverage too.  For more newspaper sites, try the AJR Newslink site for California newspapers.

• La Jolla (San Diego, CA) HS - Vikings varsity and junior varsity squads, schedules and results

• Mary Star of the Sea (San Pedro, CA) HS - Team photos and schedules for the Stars' girls' and boys' teams.

• Marymount HS (Los Angeles, CA) - Team profile, rosters, schedules, coaching staff profiles.

• Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA) HS - Player profiles, schedules, basketball camps, coaching profiles, and tournaments.

• Narbonne HS (San Pedro, CA) -- Website for the No. 1 ranked team in the country, the Lady Gauchos.  News, roster, schedule, photos.

• St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA) HS - Profiles the Saints' boys' and girls' hoops teams, with schedules and brief notes on the varsity teams.

• Torrance HS (Torrance, CA) --Web site devoted to the Tartars' girls' basketball team. Roster, schedule, photos, scores and more.

• Girls Basketball 2000--Strictly speaking, this is not a high school site, but it claims to be a monthly newsletter related to girls basketball in and around the Redondo Beach-South Bay region, so it may be of some interest.

• Amador Valley (Amador Valley, CA) HS --HS girls site from Amador Valley.

• Calaveras (San Andreas, CA) HS - Redskins' girls , with an overview that offers a schedule, contact information and rosters for the varsity, JV and freshman squads.

• Calif. School for the Deaf (Fremont, CA) --Lady Eagles website. Team photo, schedules, rosters, news.

• College Preparatory School (Oakland, CA) - The Cougars' girls' team profiles, rosters and more.

• Elk Grove (Elk Grove, CA) HS--HS girls site from Sacramento area.

• Fortuna Union Humboldt (Humboldt, CA) HS --Humboldt County area high school team.

• King's Academy (Sunnyvale, CA) HS - Lady Knights website. Schedules, links, news, rosters.

• Notre Dame (Belmont, CA) HS - Rosters, game summaries, photos and previous season results.

• Redwood (Larkspur, CA) HS - Player profiles and photos.

• Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton, CA) School - HS  Girls basketball site

• South Lake Tahoe Girls' Basketball Jamboree  A high school girls summer basketball jamboree in South Lake Tahoe, California held at the end of July each summer. Teams play a minimum of 5 games. A maximum of 64 teams may enter.
