2001 LAWSG: Boys
Manual Arts HS Bracket--(June 1, 2001)

The 2001 LA Watts Summer Games will begin tomorrow at various gym sites around Los Angeles. Sponsored by the LA Junior Chamber of Commerce, the basketball tournament portion of the games (there are many other sports as well, including track & field, baseball, softball, volleyball, etc), is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, who deserve some special thanks (we'll do that later), who work long and hard to insure a quality tournament experience for those participating.  And this year, the tournament will feature more than 128 boys and girls teams, more than 1200 players, at 16 different venues in a new, double-elimination tournament format.

This is the bracket for the first three rounds at Manual Arts HS, an 8 team bracket which will feature 8 games on Saturday, June 2, and another 6 games on Sunday June 3.  The winner of the pool will advance to second weekend play where all quarterfinal and semifinal games will be played at Dorsey HS on Saturday, June 9, and the finals will be played at LA Southwest College on June 10.   Here's the bracket:
