Los Angeles, CA: ARC Instructional Academy Fall Session
When: Continuing--League Play September 26-November 21. The ARC Fall League, for boys and girls in
grades 1-8, will be conducted locally at six locations: North Hollywood High School, Poly
High School in Sun Valley, Pierce College, Taft High School in Woodland Hills, Monroe High
School in North Hills, and Burbank High School. Play will commence on Sunday, September
26, 1999 and run through November 21, 1999. There will be boys divisions for 14u/8th,
13u/7th, 12u/6th, 11u/5th, 10u/4th, and 9u, 8u, 7u, 6u/3rd, 2nd, 1st, K. Age is based on
9/1/00. Cost per team will be $950. Girls divisions will include 13u/8th, 12u/7th,
11u/6th, 10u/5th, and the cost per team will be $750. Age is based on 1/1/00. Only
cashiers checks, money orders, or cash will be accepted. Entry fees are due by

Los Angeles, CA: ARC Future
Stars High School JV & Varsity Fall Leagues
When: Continuing-- through Nov. 15.
For grades 9-12. On-site tournament at end of 5 week
session of league play. Winners at each site will advance to a regional playoff in order
to determine the fall league championship. Played at three locations, North Hollywood High
School, Camarillo High School, and Nogales High School. . Registration at North Hollywood,
Sunday, September 20 for Boys Varsity and JV and Girls Varsity and JV at 10:00 A.M.;
Registration at Camarillo High School on Sunday, September 20 for Boys Varsity and JV and
Girls Varsity and JV at 4:00 P.M; and at Nogales High School on Tuesday, September 22 for
Boys Varsity and JV and Girls Varsity and JV at 7:00 P.M. Players can join the league as
part of a team, or register individually. No limit to the number of players per school who
may play on the same team. Cost per team $485 for 10 players; each additional player
$48.50. Payment in cash, cashiers check or money order, payable to "ARC."
Teams may use uniforms from previous ARC leagues, or other uniforms, as long as the school
name is not on the practice uniform (to comply with CIF rules). Uniforms are available at
$10 a set (reversible jersey and shorts) for poly-cotton, or $20 a set for mesh. Play
begins one week after registration. For

Torrance, CA: 4 "D"
Stars Fall Developmental League
When: Continuing--through November 21, 1998. High School, JV & Varsity, Boys 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. Girls 5th & 6th,
7th & 8th grades, and varsity. games played at Leuzinger & South Bay High Schools.
Boys: $550.00 per team; Girls: $425.00 per team. Games are played in 20 minute halves,
running clock, and clock stops only in last 2 minutes of the game but only if there is
less than a 10 point lead; 2 timeouts per half, no carryover. For further

Beach Cities (LA): Beach Cities Basketball Club Tournament
When: November 5-7. Beach Cities Basketball
Club will be hosting a tournament for 10-U through 17-U boys teams.Teams will play a

Pomona, CA: 9th Annual Cal Poly Pomona Junior Basketball Tournament
When: November 5-7. Cal Poly Pomona

Entry fee includes a minimum of 3 games. Please mail non-refundable $100.00 deposit check
to Tournament Director. (This ensures your spot in the bracket) Entry is on a first come

When: November 12-14. Games
held at LaSorda Fieldhouse in Yorba Linda (North Orange County). Open to 5th, 6th, 7th,
and 8th grade boys and girls teams. Fee is $220 per team, includes a minimum of 3 games,

Pomona, CA: Cal Poly Pomona Junior Basketball Tournament
When: Second Week in November. For Boys & Girls, Grades 5-8. Entry fee $175.00 per team. 3

Annual 4 D Stars Thanksgiving Tournament
When: November 26-28, 1999 Thanksgiving Weekend. At South Bay High Schools. A completed
registration fee and roster must be sent, there will be no verbal entries. AAU & Club
Teams, Boys Ages 9-14; Girls 5th/6th grade, 7th/8th grade brackets. Entry fee: $325.00 for

When: Thanksgiving Weekend. Boys and Girls Club Teams. Boys 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14. Girls 5th & 6th,
7th & 8th grades. Games are played in the Carson/Torrance area. Boys division: $295
entry fee, 3 game minimum. Separate divisions for grades 4-8. Girls division: $295 entry
fee, 3 game minimum. This is one of the oldest traveling all star team tournaments in

Anaheim, CA: The John Wooden
Classic Tournament (College Only This Year)
When: November 27 College Classic Only this year, due to CIF regulations prohibiting high
school games before 11/29. Games will be played at the Pond in Anaheim, and will
feature USC v. Duke, and Auburn v. Stanford. Check the John Wooden Classic website for further

Annual Compton Tip Off Classic
When: November 29, 1999. Compton City College. Exhibition games featuring Long Beach Jordan,
Pasadena, Ayala, Serra, Perris, La Jolla Bishop's School and several others TBA.
Los Angeles/Simi Valley, CA: 15th Annual
Simi Valley Basketball Tip Off Classic
When: November 29-December 4. 16 team tournament. Initial rounds held at both Simi
and Camarillo High Schools for pool play; finals at Simi. Invitational only. For entry

Runnin' Rams Tip Off Classic.
When: Nov. 11-14, 1999, at
Victor Valley Community College. Teams include Victor Valley, Antelope Valley,
Cypress, Oxnard, East LA, Glendale, Grossmont and LACC
Palm Springs/Palm Desert, CA: COD Tip Off Classic
When: Nov. 12-13, 1999. At
College of the Desert in the Coachella Valley-Palm Desert area. Teams include
College of the Desert, Golden West, San Diego City and Compton City College.
Fresno, CA:
Fresno City College Tip Off Tournament
When: Nov. 12-13, 1999. At
Fresno City College. Teams include Fresno City, Bakersfield, Fresno County All-Stars and
Fresno Stars AAU.
Mt. San Antonio/Riverside, CA: Kiwanis Tip-Off Tournament
When: Nov. 12-13, 1999. At
Mt. San Jacinto College. Teams include Mt. San Jacinto, Barstow, Cuyamaca and Northland

Mission Viejo, CA:
Saddleback Community College Tournament
When: Nov. 12-14, 1999. At
Saddleback Community College, in Mission Viejo. Teams include Saddleback, Cerritos,
Chaffey, Riverside, Long Beach City, LA Trade Tech, Santa Barbara City and Southwestern.
Fullerton, CA:
Fullerton Community College Tournament
When: Nov. 17-20, 1999.
At Fullerton Community College. Teams include Fullerton, LA Harbor, Palomar,
El Camino, Saddleback, Pasadena City College, LA Valley College, and LA Southwest.
Irvine, CA: Bill
Mulligan Classic Tournament
When: Nov. 18-20, 1999. At
Irvine Valley College (Irvine). Teams this year will include Irvine Valley CC, Mt.
San Jacinto, Long Beach City College, Riverside City College, Alan Hancock CC, College of
the Canyons, Cerritos CC, and Southwestern.
Porterville, CA:
Porterville JC "Finance and Thrift" Invitational
When: Nov. 18-20, 1999. At
Porterville Community College. Teams will include Porterville CC, Foothill CC,

San Luis Obispo, CA: Cuesta College Mid-State Bank Tournament
