Torrance, CA: 4 "D" Stars Fall Developmental League
When: September 13 through November 22, 1998. High School, JV & Varsity, Boys 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. Girls 5th & 6th, 7th & 8th grades, and varsity. Held at various South Bay High Schools. Los Angeles, CA: ARC Instructional Academy Fall Session
When: Continuing through November 15 Learn the fundamentals from current and former high school coaches. Develop the skills to become a top high school player. Traveling teams will be formed. Any team can enter league competition. ARC division tournament for all teams after completion of league play, plus eventual regional and national tournaments. Former ARC players include NBA Stars: Jason Kidd, Shawn Kemp, Byron Scott, Don MacLean, Trevor Wilson, Tracy Murray, Mitchell Butler, Chris Mills, Sean Higgins, Steve Kerr, Sean Rooks, Tom Hammonds, Dwayne Schintzius, Ronnie Grandison, Darrick Martin, and James Cotton. Los Angeles, CA: ARC Future Stars High School JV & Varsity Fall Leagues
When: Continuing through Nov. 15. For grades 9-12. On-site tournament at end of 5 week session of league play. Winners at each site will advance to a regional playoff in order to determine the fall league championship. Played at three locations, North Hollywood High School, Camarillo High School, and Nogales High School. . Registration at North Hollywood, Sunday, September 20 for Boys Varsity and JV and Girls Varsity and JV at 10:00 A.M.; Registration at Camarillo High School on Sunday, September 20 for Boys Varsity and JV and Girls Varsity and JV at 4:00 P.M; and at Nogales High School on Tuesday, September 22 for Boys Varsity and JV and Girls Varsity and JV at 7:00 P.M. Players can join the league as part of a team, or register individually. No limit to the number of players per school who may play on the same team. Cost per team $485 for 10 players; each additional player $48.50. Payment in cash, cashier’s check or money order, payable to "ARC." Teams may use uniforms from previous ARC leagues, or other uniforms, as long as the school name is not on the practice uniform (to comply with CIF rules). Uniforms are available at $10 a set (reversible jersey and shorts) for poly-cotton, or $20 a set for mesh. Play begins one week after registration. Los Angeles, CA: Slam-N-Jam Super Frosh-Soph Tournament.

Redondo Beach, CA: Beach Cities Fall Hoops Festival
When: Mid October 1998, Youth tournament for boys & girls ages 11-U, 12-U, 13-U, and 14-U. Games played at Redondo Union High, a small tournament, typically does not have more than 8 teams in a pool. $125 entry fee. Santa Maria, CA: North v. South Invitational Tournament
When: Mid October, 1998. Tournament for boys & girls, grades 5-8 (14-U, 13-U, 12-U, 11-U). Separate divisions for Boys 7th grade; Boys 8th grade; Girls 5th & 6th grades; Girls 7th grade; Girls 8th grade. $150 entry; 3 game guarantee. Tracy, CA: Preseason Fall Classic
When: Mid October, 1998. Tournament for boys grades 7 & 8. Held at Tracy High School, Tracy, CA. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Team Trophies, 1st Place Individual, MVP, 5 All Tourney Trophies per Division. When: October 23 & 24, 1998. Tournament for boys ages 12-14, middle school players as of 9/98. Games are held at Citrus College and Azusa Pacific University. 3 game guarantee, $245 per team.
