Stars Winter Developmental League

10 through March 1, 1999. High School, JV & Varsity,
Boys 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. Girls 5th & 6th, 7th & 8th
grades, and varsity. Held at various South Bay High Schools. For

Santa Barbara, CA: 38th Annual
Valentine Classic
When: February 6-7, 1999. Boys & Girls,
Grades 4-8 (10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U). This is one of SoCal's
oldest youth tournaments. Boys teams between grades 4 and 8, and
girls 8th grade teams. For registration and date confirmation

Westminster, CA: Westminster Orange
County Winter Classic
When: February
6-7, 1999. Westminster, CA . Boys grade 7 (13U). First
through third place awards, all tournament and MVP awards. Double
elimination, two game guarantee. Enter by end of January.

Irvine, CA: The 1998 Nike
Extravaganza III Tournament

6, 1998, Played last year at UCI's Bren Center.
Featuring national level high school competition. Teams last year
included Compton Dominguez and national power Oak Hill Academy
from Mouth of Wilson, Va., Etiwanda and Ocean View, Servite and
Santa Margarita, Los Alamitos and Capistrano Valley, St. Patrick
(NJ) and Mater Dei, and Beaverton (Ore.) and Glendora
Carson, CA: 18th Annual
Slam-N-Jam Presidential Invitational
When: February
13-14, 1999. Separate divisions for boys and girls.
Played in Carson and Torrance, CA. Boys grades 3-9, and girls
grades 5/6 and 7/8. Many of the top traveling all-star teams
compete at this tournament, which is used for seeding of the
Southern Pacific Amatuer Athletic Union Regionals. For further

President's Day Classic

& Girls' Club Invitational

13-14, 1999. Tournament for boys and girls, grades 5
through 8 (10U-14U). Played at four different locations in the

Sacramento, : NorCal Tournament
of Champions
When: February 13-14. Features top 8th grade teams in
the Northern California area. 24 to 40 teams participate each
year, from as far away as Oregon, Nevada, and Bakersfield. Teams
play 4 to 5 games. Entry fee is $150. This tournament has been in
existence for 21 years. It is held at Mira Loma High School.
